Colorado’s mountain casinos posted a 4 percent revenue increase in March compared with a year ago, according to data released Tuesday by the state Division of Gaming.

The state’s 39 casinos reported adjusted gross proceeds — total bets minus payouts — of $63.2 million last month, up from $60.6 million in March 2009, when there were 40 casinos.

Black Hawk casinos posted a gain of nearly 7 percent and Central City 4 percent. Cripple Creek, which had one less casino in operation with the closure of the Imperial Casino Hotel, reported a drop of 4 percent.
