Manchester United has been ranked soccer’s most valuable team by Forbes magazine for the sixth straight year as a group of investors tries to buy the heavily indebted club. The magazine’s valuation is $1.8 billion, but the Glazer family that owns the club is resisting the Red Knights’ campaign to buy the 18-time English champions and their debt of $1.1 billion. Based on Forbes’ estimates, which take into account revenue growth, profitability and debt levels, United is the most valuable sports team in the world. The Dallas Cowboys are valued at $1.65 billion by Forbes and the New York Yankees at $1.6 billion.
