Grow Local Colorado Campaign
Teaming up with Denver Parks and Recreation and the Parks Stewardship Program to grow Edible Public Demonstration Gardens in four Denver parks including Civic Center, Berkeley, Highlands and Highlands Gateway. Individuals, community groups, nonprofit organizations and local businesses are invited to “adopt” a garden and help plant, maintain and harvest the plots from May through October. Free trees for Arbor Day
April 30: Ace Hardware stores across Colorado and Wyoming will give away 16,500 free trees in recognition of Arbor Day. Customers who visit visiting participating stores will get a free 4-8 inch tree. Each tree is individually wrapped and comes with planting instructions. Varieties vary by location but most will include Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce and Fraser Fir. Trees are available while supplies last.Visit to download the required coupon and get a list of participating stores.
