People packed streets, balconies and condo overhangs to watch the concert at Checkpoint Charlie in on Sunday to sing along with nearly every song. Singer Ryan Miller created a song on-the-fly to complain about how the altitude of 8,000 feet was affecting the band’s equipment. Guster’s tune “Amsterdam (Gonna Write You a Letter)” also inspired several crowd members to hand the band letters they wrote. The band seemed amazed at the positive response to lesser-known B-sides and the softer, melody-driven folk tunes. — Erik Melander
