COLORADO SPRINGS — One person is dead and two others were stabbed early today south of Colorado Springs near Fort Carson.

Deputies began receiving calls shortly after midnight about shots being fired and incidents involving victims.

Sheriff’s deputies went to the Stratmoor Shops on B Street, where they a found a victim who initially appeared to have been shot in the hand and shoulder. He had sought help at a pizza place, and employees had called law officers.

It was later determined the 17-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times.

Before being taken to the hospital, he told deputies about another victim nearby.

A 25-year-old man was found dead, apparently of gunshot wounds, in front of an apartment in the 1600 block of Hampton Road South, according to Sheriff Lt. Lari Sevene. His name was not released.

A third victim, who had stab wounds to the head, back and neck, was found near Loomis Avenue and Dove Place. He was also taken to a local hospital. A gun was found at that scene. The 18-year-old man was in fair condition this afternoon.

The altercations may have broken out after a party.
