Getting your player ready...
A little rough at No. 41
It varied from team to team, but the Bills likely took the biggest leap of faith in the second round in taking Central Florida defensive tackle Torell Troup with the 41st pick overall. Troup was rising on draft boards in recent weeks because of his ability to play on the nose and anchor in the run game. He plays with good power but needs some work in the pass rush. He doesn’t always force the issue in the pass rush and can’t always get blockers off him. Troup doesn’t always make many plays outside of the confined area in the middle of the field — the tackle box, as the scouts call it. A good player with a future, but to say he was the 41st-best player on the board may have been a stretch.
