Colorado State safety Klint Kubiak decided not to sign a free-agent deal with his father’s NFL team, the Houston Texans, and will have a tryout with the Washington Redskins instead.
Washington coach Mike Shanahan watched Klint Kubiak grow up when Shanahan coached the Broncos and his offensive coordinator was current Texans coach Gary Kubiak.
Four other Rams signed free-agent contracts. Offensive tackle Cole Pemberton will join ex-teammate Shelley Smith, a sixth-round pick, in Houston.
