Getting your player ready...

It seems to be all football all the time around here, so what’s a little more from the schoolboy world?

Thompson Valley’s Dorian Brown, 2009 All-Colorado by The Denver Post, has been nominated for the next U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Despite the Class 4A Eagles finishing 0-10 last season, the 6-foot-1, 225-pound Brown was difficult to miss, rarely leaving the field. He played running back, linebacker and on special teams, and figures to make a run at player of the year honors in 2010.

The U.S. Army game, which has become popular, annually features the nation’s best talent and is played in San Antonio, will announce its selections later this year.
