VISIT DENVER: Denver Zoo president and chief executive Craig Piper has been elected to the board of directors. Piper, who joined the zoo 13 years ago, became president and CEO in 2007.
REGIS UNIVERSITY: Yohannes Gebregeorgis, founder of Ethiopia Reads, will receive an honorary degree from the university during a commencement ceremony May 9. The university will also present Civis Princeps (First Citizen) awards to Charles Goldberg, senior partner with Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons LLP, who serves as general counsel for the Archdiocese of Denver and general counsel for the Diocese of Fargo, N.D.; brothers Edward A. and Richard L. Robinson, co-chief executives of Robinson’s Dairy; and Mi chael McManus, outreach worker for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
