David Letterman says the scandal surrounding his workplace sexual affairs initially “knocked him down” and left him depressed, but that now he’s putting the pieces of his life back together.
During a guest shot on the TV morning talk show “Live! With Regis and Kelly,” the late-night television star said his behavior was stupid and reckless, and that it hurt his family and himself. But he sounded hopeful that life with his wife, Regina Lasko, and young son can “even be better, in a different way” than before the explosive revelations that he had had sex with female “Late Show” co-workers.
The Late Show host, who late last year was embroiled in a $2 million extortion plot stemming from his affairs with female members of his staff, made a rare guest-star appearance on the show, saying that he’s now focused on repairing his relationship with Regina.
“Because you think an explosion has taken place and you’re looking at the shards and you say, ‘Well, can we put this back together?’ ” Letterman said. “And by God, maybe you can put it back together. And maybe it won’t be the same, but maybe it will be different, and maybe it can even be better in a different way.”
After four years together, Halle Berry and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry have called it quits, according to TMZ and RadarOnline.
TMZ reports that they are currently working out a custody agreement for their daughter, Nahla, 2.
The Oscar-winning actress, 43, and the model, 34, first met at a 2006 Versace shoot. Two years later, their daughter was born.
Berry never seemed to mind their nine-year age difference — or the fact that they never wed.
“I feel more married now than I did in any of my actual marriages,” she told the March 2009 issue of Essence. “We live the truth of that and that’s more important than a piece of paper.”
At that time she declined to answer whether they’ll be together forever. “All I know is that at this moment, it feels fantastic,” she said.
Despite the uncertainty of their relationship, she told Ellen DeGeneres a short time later that she wanted more children. “My mind says yes,” she said, “but the rest isn’t up to me, so we’ll see.”
Lindsay Lohan could be facing jail time.
Lohan faces possible jail time for violating the terms of her probation on a driving-while-intoxicated rap.
The troubled starlet has not been showing up for the alcohol education classes a judge ordered her to attend once a week after she was busted for DUI last year, the TMZ reports.
Judge Marsha Revel has warned the troubled actress that she’d be tossed behind bars if she failed to comply with the probation terms.
State law requires the alcohol-ed school to inform the judge only if a student is absent for 21 days, and Lohan has frequently slid in under those rules by waiting until the 21st day to show up for class, according to TMZ.
Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, denied she has a probation problem.
“We have received no negative written report from the program and contend Ms. Lohan is therefore in compliance,” she told TMZ in an email.
But Lohan faces a progress hearing in court on May 20, and, as TMZ puts it: “Lindsay met the school’s requirement, but squarely violated the judge’s order.”
Lance Armstrong is going to be a dad again.
The cycling champ and his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, are expecting their second child together this October.
Armstrong confirmed the big news to his hometown paper, the Austin-American Statesman, adding that his future child’s name could either be Jack or Olivia.
The couple refers to their unborn child as “Cinco Armstrong.” Though the baby is still months away from being born, “Cinco” has already joined Twitter and boasts over 1,300 followers.
“I got 2 arms, 2 legs, a nickname, and i’m 2 inches long,” says the first post. “I’m now the size of a lemon, 3.5 inches long, and weigh 1.5 ounces. And oh yeah, I’m on Twitter.”
Armstrong also shared his sentiment, saying, “What to say? Yet another blessing in our lives. I cannot wait!”
Armstrong, 38, and Hansen welcomed a son, Max, in June 2009. He is also a father to three children – Luke, 10, and twin girls Isabelle and Grace, 8 – with ex-wife Kristin.
