Broomfield Academy, a private elementary school for children ages 3-12, has announced the appointment of a new principal, Pat Garner, to replace Dr. Vanessa Ewing on June 1.
A search team of teachers, parents, board members and administrators selected Garner from a field of more than 30 applicants. Garner, a native of Rhode Island, has more than 20 years elementary classroom experience, an academy spokesman said in a press release.
Most recently Garner worked as the principal of the Community School for the Gifted in Littleton, which she founded in 1991.
