Denver Parks and Recreation officials announced Monday that they had found two partners to take over the operations of the Globeville Recreation Center and the Johnson Recreation Center.

The department still is looking for a provider to take over operations of the College View Recreation Center. Parks officials said StreetKidz will become the operating partner for the Globeville facility. Colorado Miners will take over operations of the Johnson facility.

The city moved to transition the centers to nonprofit providers during a budget crunch last year.

City officials say the move will reduce duplication of services and allow them to strategically target limited dollars.
