CHICAGO — Kris Versteeg scored the go-ahead goal from the left circle with 1:30 left and the Blackhawks rallied to beat the Canucks 4-2 on Monday to even the series at 1-1.
In a furious final rush, Versteeg initially lost the puck near the goal. Dave Bolland dug it out and slid it to Brent Seabrook, who passed it to Duncan Keith at the point. Keith then passed to Versteeg for a shot that beat goalie Roberto Luongo to send the United Center into a frenzy.
Patrick Kane added an empty-netter with 47.7 seconds remaining.
Chicago’s Patrick Sharp tied the game earlier in the third with a short-handed goal.
Bruins 3, Flyers 2
BOSTON — Milan Lucic scored with 2:57 left to break a third- period tie and Boston took a 2-0 lead in the series.
It was 1-1 after one period and 2-2 after two. It stayed that way until Lucic got the puck between the circles, turned around and slapped a shot past Brian Boucher.
The Flyers pulled Boucher in the final minutes but generated few threats.
Flyers enforcer Daniel Carcillo complained Bruins forward Marc Savard bit him after a whistle at the 5:55 mark of the second period. Savard slashed at goalie Boucher’s glove, drawing a penalty and the ire of several Flyers.
“Last time I have been bit was in grade school. It is not a good feeling. It is pretty cowardly,” Carcillo said. “Guys don’t bite. Men don’t bite.”
Savard pointed the finger back at him.
“He pummeled on my face,” he said. “He pulled on my teeth, so I guess that’s biting when a guy tries and pull your front teeth out.”
