KENT, Ohio — More than 1,000 people attended a two-hour memorial Tuesday to mark the 40th anniversary of the shootings at Kent State University by the Ohio National Guard. Four students were killed and nine wounded on May 4, 1970, as they protested the U.S. invasion of Cambodia.
