Roy Halladay’s homecoming will have to wait.
Tonight’s Rockies’ game against the Phillies was postponed and rescheduled as a split doubleheader Wednesday.
The first game is set for 1:10 p.m., with Halladay (6-1, 1.45 ERA), the former prep star at Arvada West, pitching against Colorado’s Aaron Cook (1-3, 6.03).
The second game, with first pitch scheduled for 6:40 p.m., will pit Philadelphia’s Jamie Moyer (4-2, 4.38) against the Rockies’ Jason Hammel (0-2, 9.16).
Tickets purchased for Tuesday’s game are good only for the 6:40 p.m. game. Gates will open for the nightcap at 5 p.m.
Separate tickets will be required for each game.
Fans can exchange rained out tickets for any game throughout the remainder of the season, for tickets of equal value at the best seat available.
The low in Denver overnight is expected to be about 33 degrees, before warming into the 40s Wednesday, according to forecasts.
