Getting your player ready...

You’re going to the top-secret New York wedding of Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vazquez. Maybe not in person, but through a reality show on VH-1.

I had a tip that Lala was headed to Las Vegas on May 7 for a bachelorette party hosted by her pallies Kim Kardashian and Kelly Roland. Norm Clarke, former Rocky columnist now with the Las Vegas Review Journal, confirms that the girls were in town, hitting all the hot spots, followed by a film crew. Now we know the shooters were from VH-1.

The as-yet-unnamed reality show will debut on Sept. 13, says a release from VH-1, with four half-hour episodes and a 90-minute wedding finale.

The series will consist of the usual behind-the-scenes action, finding a dress, planning the nups, checking the guest list. And expect to see some of it come down in Denver.

VH-1 will probably be with Carmelo tonight as he judges the Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas — airing here at 6 p.m. on Channel 9. Now that’s must-see TV.

Ironing chefs

An unusual cookoff comes to town Thursday — the battle of the senior-living- community chefs.

I don’t know if you’ve had a meal in an assisted-living facility lately, but I have and it was a slap in the palate.

Organizers say times have changed. The cookoff will pit eight chefs from senior living communities against each other, three of them from Denver facilities. It all gets cooked at Heritage Club Mountain View.

Judges will include Leeza Gibbons, 9News’ Kirk Montgomery, Colorado jock Jeremy Bloom, KEZW restaurant guy Warren Byrne. The winner gets the title “Ultimate Chef America.” And the cookoff is already full with about 1,000 expected. Get on the waiting list at 303-337-3400.

Sexy

“Sex and the City 2” parties are sprouting up like pitchers of cosmos. On Saturday, Suite 200 has five hosts repping five top characters, bottle service, lotsa Skyy “Sex and the City” vodka — and a chance to get some VIP tix to the Denver premiere (it opens here May 27).

And Denise Snyder from Mariel on Larimer Square goes on Colorado & Company at 10 a.m. Thursday on Channel 9. She’s dressing Gayle Novak as Charlotte; Lisa Holste as Carrie; Nancy Guzman as Miranda; and Lenay Snyder as Samantha.

Mister Big? A Big Secret.

Revved up

You’re invited to the Harley- Davidson wedding of Pam Redfern and Marc Ward, 12:30 p.m. today at Jefferson County Stadium as they sit on their matching white Harleys.

“We love to ride our Harleys and we love each other,” says Pam.

The wedding is the halftime entertainment at the Civilian Top Gun Riding Competition — a motorcycle and scooter riding event. Isn’t it romantic?

City spirit

Denver got lots of love from Draft Magazine this month: A shoutout to Jack-n-Grill’s 7-pound burrito; the recipe for Patty Calhoun’s Chili Beer at Wynkoop; a nod to Rack & Rye as Denver’s first gastropub (don’t tell Argyll and Jonesy’s EatBar) . . . Sez who: “There is nothing half so sweet in life as love’s young dream.” Thomas Moore
