DENVER—Metropolitan State College of Denver says its 2010 graduating class of 1,615 students is its largest ever.
That’s a 27 percent increase above the previous high of 1,268 graduates last year.
Metro State President Stephen Jordan says the increase comes after five years of efforts to boost student retention rates. He says the college also has added full-time, tenure-track faculty, and enrollment has been increasing.
Metro State is holding its commencement ceremony Sunday.
