NEW YORK — NBC next fall will try to erase the memories of the failed Jay Leno experiment and another fourth-place finish with new scripted shows each weeknight at 9 local time.
Leno’s time slot has been filled with four new series and a fifth, “Parenthood,” that has been on the air for a few months.
NBC also said Sunday it has canceled “Heroes.” On Friday, the network said “Law & Order” will leave its schedule after 20 years in prime time.
NBC is the first of the broadcast networks to announce its fall schedule in a week of presentations to advertisers. The Associated Press
