BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder police say a flooring and fireplace store employee whose body was found in the store along with bodies of the couple who owned it is suspected of shooting and killing them.

Police Chief Mark Beckner said Tuesday that 50-year-old Robert Montgomery may have been upset about a change in policy on sales commissions and bonuses.

Beckner says officers found the bodies of Montgomery, 40-year-old Sean Griffin and 41-year-old Staci Griffin of Longmont inside Boulder Stove & Flooring on Monday, after a customer and sales employee heard gunshots in a back office.

Beckner said the Griffins appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while Montgomery had one. A coroner will officially rule whether Montgomery killed himself.
