DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan — Police say a roadside bomb targeting a police patrol in northwestern Pakistan has killed 11 people, including three police.

Mohammed Aslam says the bomb exploded as the patrol traveled through the town of Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday. The dead included a senior police officer in the area as well as his guard and driver.

Aslam, a senior police official in Dera Ismail Khan, says eight civilians were also killed by the blast, including two schoolchildren.
