DENVER—Two groups are offering up to $2,500 for information leading to convictions of whoever illegally killed eight deer in southern Colorado.

The reward announced Monday by the Humane Society of the United States and The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust is in addition to a $1,200 reward offered by a Colorado Division of Wildlife fund.

State wildlife officials say the animals were shot and then left around the town of La Veta early May 4.
