Just as springtime brings a colorful change to our parks and gardens, the new season also is delivering an infusion of green to a host of local charities. The 325 who attended Shalom Park’s annual dinner, “A Pocket Full of Miracles,” gave $450,000 that will be used for services provided to residents unable to pay for their care. Cancer League of Colorado honored one of its past presidents, Fleta Johnsen and raised $290,000 at its spring gala, Dedicated to the Ones We Love, while 450 people enabled Jewish Family Service to raise a six-figure sum at its Executive Luncheon.
