Authorities are looking for the body of a man, who they believe to be a homicide victim, in several Colorado locations including in the Colorado River near Glenwood Springs.
On April 5, Denver Police Department homicide detectives began investigating the disappearance of Hae C. Park, 65, along with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office had been looking for Park who was last seen by his family on March 27.
As part of the missing person investigation, police found a “probable” crime scene at an office at 10200 E. Girard Ave., police said.
“The investigation supports that the victim died at this location,” police said in a news release.
Joong Rhee, 67, Park’s business partner, has been identified by police as a suspect in the case.
On April 16 Rhee was charged by the Denver District Attorney’s Office with first-degree murder.
Investigators have not found Park’s body. They are looking in “several” areas and “one lead supports that the body is in the Colorado River near Glenwood Springs,” police said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call their local police, Denver police at (720) 913-2000, or the Crime Stoppers hotline at (720) 913-7867. Tipsters can earn up to $2,000 for information leading to a conviction.
