WINDSOR, Colo.—Windsor school officials are scrapping a plan for random drug testing of Windsor High School students involved in extracurricular activities, after some students, faculty and community members expressed opposition.

The Windsor-Severance Re-4 School District Board of Education decided Monday not to pursue drug testing this year.

Board President Sean Ash said members will continue to look at options and possibly expand existing drug and alcohol education programs.
