Discount shoppers have been flocking to the Nordstrom Rack that opened in late March at 1505 S. Colorado Blvd., but few know what off-price deals await them at a store across the street. K&G Fashion Superstore, which has more than 100 locations nationally, recently added “Designer Spotlight” sections to 30 of its stores, featuring European luxury-brand clothes, shoes and accessories at 50 percent to 70 percent off the retail price. On a walk-through earlier this week of the store at 1550 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver, we saw a rack full of Missoni’s signature knit dresses and sweaters, Dolce & Gabbana suits, See by Chloe sportswear, a smattering of St. John separates, Blumarine sweaters and jeans, a few Valentino gowns, Prada pumps, Casadei sandals and a couple of Burberry bags, to name some of the merchandise. Keep in mind that this still means you’ll spend $500 for a suit or handbag, $250 for shoes and $200-$500 for separates, but if you crave designer labels, it’s worth checking out. Most of the European merchandise is geared to women, but there are also suits, shirts and sportswear for men from such designers as Armani, Alexander McQueen, Zegna and Moschino.
