Art in high places.
The Art Center of Estes Park is sponsoring the annual Memorial Day weekend Art Market in Bond Park, Saturday through May 31. The market brings together almost 100 juried artists from all over Colorado and offers a wide variety of fine arts and crafts including stained glass, ceramics, jewelry and paintings, among others. A pioneer feeling.
The 35th annual Territory Days will take place Memorial Day weekend, Saturday through May 31, at Old Colorado City, Colorado Springs. This street festival will include live music, food and craft vendors. It will also feature pony rides, a petting zoo, a mechanical bull, toy train rides, gold panning, live blacksmithing, period-costumed actors and Wild West gunfight re-enactments. It’s open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
Is it hot out here?
The Snowmass Chili Pepper and Brew Fest will be June 4-5 in Snowmass Village. The event features chili tastings, more than 100 microbrew samplings and a two-day music party.
Native American festival.
The Tri-Lakes Native American Inter-Tribal Festival and Concert is June 5 in Palmer Lake. The festival is a celebration of Indian history and culture and will include storytellers, drums and dancers, art, an exhibit of birds of prey by HawkQuest, and plenty of vendors and food. The festival will end with a concert featuring Arvel Bird, an award-winning musician. Admission to the festival is free; concert admission is $15. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts, 304 Colorado 105, Palmer Lake.
Crested Butte by the numbers.
Crested Butte Restaurant Week will debut this year June 11-18. Diners can enjoy the week’s festivities for the price of $88.85 for meals or lodging. Participating restaurants will offer multi-course dinners priced at $88.85 for a party of four or $22.21 per person. Special lodging rates will be available for $88.85 per room, per night.
Foam on the range.
The Rocky Mountain Brewfest will be held at the Estes Park Brewery June 12. Visitors can sample locally brewed beer and more than 15 other Colorado craft brews. Live music and food also will be available.
