Shareholders of CenturyTel Inc., the phone company that agreed to buy Qwest last month, approved the company’s proposal to switch its name to Century- Link Inc., a change the company sought after its takeover of Embarq Corp. last year, said Annmarie Sartor, a spokeswoman for the Monroe, La.-based company.
