After throwing five innings for a win in Friday’s semifinals, Limon’s Matt Brown pitched all seven in Saturday’s thrilling 6-5 comeback win against Resurrection Christian, earning Limon the 2A title.
After five innings, RC pitcher Jordan Piche had a no-hitter and a 5-0 lead, but Limon scored four in the sixth and then two in the top of the seventh on a two-RBI lasered single from, yep, Brown — who then closed out the seventh. Reliever Tyler Lohr walked his first three hitters in the seventh for RC, and Lucas Carls then came in and allowed Brown’s big hit.

Stratton’s Zeb Baylie pitched a masterful five innings and homered in the sixth, cementing a 10-2 win over Fleming in the Class 1A baseball championship at Englewood High on Saturday.
The Wildats mustered just three hits, and the senior Baylie fanned 12 batters in his five innings, commanding from the bump all afternoon.
Stratton slugger Jesse McConnell contributed with three hits and two RBIs.
