SPRINGFIELD, Colo.—A weather system that brought 3-inch hail, severe thunderstorms and a tornado to the southeast corner of Colorado also brought reports of broken windows.

The National Weather Service says preliminary information shows at least one tornado hitting near Springfield around 7:15 p.m. Sunday in an area that was mostly open country.

Further south, 1-inch hail was reported Monday morning near Campo.

There were no immediate reports of severe damage.

There is still a chance for thunderstorms Tuesday, but Randy Gray of the Weather Service says they shouldn’t be as severe.
