A 13-year-old Longmont boy who became lost during an early morning walk from his family’s campsite northwest of Ward has been found.
The boy walked from the campsite near Beaver Reservoir early Saturday while his family slept and lost his way.
When family members couldn’t find the boy, they called the Boulder County Sheriff’s department and several search and rescue organizations responded.
The boy — cold, wet and tired but unhurt — turned up on private property near Peak-to-Peak highway around 1 p.m. and the property owner contacted Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, according to a written statement from the Boulder County Sheriff’s office.
