LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County is joining the economic boycott over Arizona’s illegal-immigration law.
After a heated debate, the Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 on Tuesday to ban new contracts with Arizona-based companies and review those that could be canceled.
The county has more than $26 million in contracts with Arizona companies this year.
The cities of Los Angeles, Oakland and San Francisco passed similar measures.
