Happy Birthday, Hedda Hopper
Before Entertainment Tonight, before Perez Hilton, before TMZ, (way before), there was Hedda Hopper, who along with her arch rival, Louella Parsons, and Walter Winchell pioneered the discipline known as celebrity journalism. Gossip. Famous for her wacky hats, no society party was complete without Hedda holding court in the corner. (Unless Louella was there.) Hopper, who died in 1966, would be 115 today. How about a Hollywood cocktail in her memory.
