The rugosa hybrid Therese Bugnet is good for high altitude gardens, While not a Damask, we include it here because it has such a strong appearance of a Damask. One of the hardiest (to zone 2) and most beautiful roses. Wonderful, old-fashioned, ruffled, large, double blooms of lilac-pink that are very fragrant. A strong, upright plant with blue-green foliage shows some rugosa heritage. A fine landscape plant. Outstanding. Repeat blooming. Hardy to zone 3. Credit: Heirloom Roses
