LOVELAND, Colo.—An $8.3 million plan to rebuild a runway at Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport has been called off.
The city says that the Federal Aviation Administration was going to pay for most of the cost of rebuilding the runway. But that money isn’t coming because Congress hasn’t yet approved funding for the FAA Airport Improvement Program.
Loveland officials announced the project’s cancellation on Friday. They said they’ll try again to rebuild the runway next year.
