Matt Belisle (1-2) took the loss Tuesday night at Coors Field after allowing two hits, one a bunt single by Tommy Manzella, in the eighth inning. If anyone deserves a mulligan, it’s Belisle. Going into that inning, he was on a roll in which he had allowed only four hits in 36 at-bats.

The Big Olivo.

Can you say National League all-star? Miguel Olivo is hitting .315, the highest among major- league catchers with 160-plus plate appearances.

A year later.

Baseball being baseball, you knew this was coming. With the loss, the Rockies dropped to 3-6 vs. the NL Central, a division they owned to the tune of 31-11 in 2009.
