Kataina Jackson-Keeling and Mario Anderson, who showed up late for their sentencing earlier this week, were officially sentenced today in Denver District Court to a year in jail.

The two pleaded guilty to accessory to perjury and contempt of court related to their refusal to testify in the Darrent Williams murder case.

The pair were prosecuted after they refused to testify against Willie D. Clark, who was convicted of killing the late Denver Broncos cornerback.

Prosecutors say the two also lied to grand jurors who were investigating the Williams murder and denied they were riding in a white Chevrolet Tahoe during the drive-by shooting that killed Williams.

Anderson, 23, and Jackson-Keeling, 21, pleaded guilty to the charges last month but maintain they were not present during the shooting and only entered the pleas to get the case over with.
