Getting your player ready...

You dad’s idea of a great time on Father’s Day might not include getting soaked in a dunk tank. But when he finds out the $5 fee for being all wet goes to the families of firefighters during times of need and crisis, he might be game. Kids can douse their dads or a West Metro firefighter from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Market at Belmar. Also, at noon, dads (and others) can enter their favorite chili recipe in a contest. The $5 fee for that also benefits West Metro. The shopping center is at South Wadsworth Boulevard and West Alameda Avenue in Lakewood; .
