An 11-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital at around 3:20 p.m. when he was hit by a car while riding his bike in Douglas County.
The boy was riding in the crosswalk at the intersection of Rampart Range Road and Village Circle East in front of Roxborough Intermediate School, police said.
The boy, whose name is not being released, was taken to an area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle did stop to talk to investigators and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
