The name Vi (pronounced VEE) is derived from “vita,” the Latin word for life.
The name was selected because it represents life and the opportunities for a better quality of life in the communities the company operates, according to the company.
The company was founded in 1987 as a developer, owner and operator of older-adult residential communities. It defines its mission as dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults by providing high-quality environments, services and care.
