FORT CARSON, Colo.—Fort Carson is celebrating the Army’s 235th anniversary with demonstrations, a concert and other events that are open to the public.

Visitors can enter the post Friday and Saturday through the main gate.

Fort Carson’s observance is called Iron Horse Days, after one of the nicknames of the 4th Infantry Division, the post’s largest unit.

Country music singer Mark Wills will perform a free concert at 5 p.m. Friday.

Other events include demonstrations by an AH-64 Apache helicopter and various vehicles, performances by the post’s mounted color guard and music by the 4th Infantry Division and Air Force Academy bands.

Food vendors, static displays and children’s activities will also be available.
