A driver lost control of a car on Interstate 25 early this morning, resulting in two deaths.
The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of family members, said Trooper Heather Cobler, spokeswoman of the Colorado State Patrol.
The silver sedan was northbound near the Fountain exit at 2:05 a.m. when the driver swerved from the right lane to the left, overcorrected back to the right and rolled the car, Cobler said.
As the car rolled, one person was ejected, Cobler said. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person inside the car also was fatally injured.
Three other people inside the car were not injured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation but alcohol consumption is believed to have contributed to the accident, Cobler said.
