The National Wildlife Federation is encouraging families to sleep under the full moon Saturday night as part of the Great American Backyard Campout.
The annual event is a fundraiser for NWF’s “Be Out There” program by inviting people to secure sponsor donations for their campsite. Be Out There encourages parents to provide more unstructured outdoor play time for their children. Families that register also will have access to free campout games, camping tips and campfire songs.
