Do Monica Owens and Vince Abrue know every young professional in the greater Denver area? It would seem so, based on the response to an after-work mixer and Betsey Johnson fashion show that they hosted at the LoDo Wine Loft. Guests were encouraged to join them in supporting the 2010 edition of Janet’s Camp, a benefit for the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver that begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mike Shanahan estate in Cherry Hills Village. Friends of the Children’s Museum, meanwhile, answered the call of the wild by attending Jungle Jubilee, a celebration of the museum’s 37th birthday. Mandi Hoffman and Halle Holmes chaired the al fresco event held on the museum grounds. And, after a break of several years, Hospice of St. John reprised one of its most fun events, the Mad Hatter Tea Party. Guests donned their prettiest — or craziest — chapeau for an afternoon that raised money for patient services at the nonprofit care center in Lakewood. Joanne Davidson has the details in her Seen First blog: .
