A man climbing in Eldorado Canyon State Park fell to his death Tuesday morning.

The climber, identified as 39-year-old Joseph M. Miller Jr. of Lafayette, fell about 80 feet while climbing the Yellow Spur Trail Route on Red Garden Wall, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened about 8:45 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office said. Miller was dead at the scene.
