FILENE RESEARCH INSTITUTE: Appointed Gerry Agnes, president and chief executive of Elevations Credit Union, to serve on its research council. In addition, Agnes was named to the board of directors of the Credit Union Association of Colorado.

CONSUMER OPERATED AND ORIENTED PLAN PROGRAM: Named Colorado Consumer Health Initiative board member Barbara Yondorf to the advisory board. The program is part of the recently created Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

GIRL SCOUTS OF COLORADO: Announced inductees into the 2010 Women of Distinction program. This year’s honorees are: 7News anchor/investigative reporter Theresa Marchetta; Christine Benero, president and chief executive of Mile High United Way; state Sen. Joyce Foster; Marjorie Gart, community volunteer and consultant; Lynda Mallinoff Goldstein, community volunteer; Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins, executive director of learning services, Douglas County School District; Rebecca Kirchdorfer, co-owner, Downing Street Garage; Judy Montero, Denver City Council; Patricia Olson, president and CEO, Morris Animal Foundation; Dr. Barbara Reed, Denver Skin Clinic and professor of dermatology, University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center; and Erin Yoshimura, executive director, Colorado Dragon Boat Festival.

MORRISON & FOERSTER: Announced that Steven Kaufmann, a litigation partner in the Denver office, was appointed chief of staff at Millennium Challenge Corp.

MESSNER & REEVES: Added Steven Levine as an associate in the corporate practice group.

UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO AT BOULDER: Named Russell Moore interim provost. He currently serves as interim vice chancellor for research.

MOUNTAIN STATES EMPLOYERS COUNCIL: Named Tom Fries, chairman and principal owner of CP Co., and Tracy Huggins, executive director of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority, to its 2010 board of directors.
