NEW YORK — Sammy Hagar is lending his signature voice to an autobiography.
The rocker has signed with It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, to write a memoir. It’s due to be released in 2011.
Hagar said Wednesday he’s “been writing this book my whole life” and that it’s “time to put it in between two covers.”
The 62-year-old Hagar has been a solo artist and a tequila producer but is best known as the former frontman for Van Halen. He replaced David Lee Roth. Hagar is now the lead singer for Chickenfoot. The Associated Press
