Larimer Square has plenty of patios for outside diningbut the boss, Jeff Hermanson, decided to take over the entire street this coming July 21 for An Affair on the Square. In other words, a square meal served outside on more than 100 tables. It’s a block party for the well-heeled, with food from some of the city’s best restaurants. Gotta love it. Table hopping, hobnobbing, dining under the stars. If it rains, the event will be postponed one week.
“There is no better place than the patios at Larimer Square,” says Larimer mouthpiece Erika Sauerwein. “So what’s better than this? It’s unique for Denver.”
The event is pricey — but it’s a benefit for the Colorado Symphony — and the orchestra will play at the dinner. Perfect.

Ty and Kim.
Denver Nuggets’ rookie Ty Lawson tweeted up a storm this week when he expressed a desire to hook up with Kim Kardashian — for the team.
Seems he thinks that being the boyfriend with one of the sisters on the TV reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” helps you win. Khloe Kardashian is with Lakers forward Lamar Odom — and that team came out on top.
And Kim had long been involved with Reggie Bush — a player with the Super Bowl-winning New Orleans Saints.
So Lawson tweets: “I’ll take one for the team lol.”
Now that Kim is dating Dallas Cowboy Miles Austin, Lawson added to his tweets, “If miles Austin miles or wateva his name is win a chip next yr . . . Then thing is amazing.”
Boulder’s Biel.
Colorado’s homegrown Boulder babe Jessica Biel is on the cover of the latest Glamour — and inside the mag she’s wearing flattering threads. But in a Q&A, she says she’s a Colorado tomboy at heart.
“Yeah,” she says. “I literally spent most of my teenage years in Umbro shorts and No Fear T-shirts.”
All in the family.
Chef Kevin Taylor’s son, Ryan Taylor, will apprentice at Mugaritz in San Sebastian, Spain. It’s regarded as one of the top five restaurants IN THE WORLD — and his gig starts in September and lasts for a highly unusual nine months.
“It’s amazing,” says Kevin. But why would the kid want to be in the biz after seeing his father pull his hair out for a coupla decades?
“He’s been doing it for his entire life,” says Kevin. “He’s the sous chef now at Restaurant Kevin Taylor. He’s seen it all, and he loves it.”
