Mop up operations continue on the Round Mountain Fire that burned 76 acres west of Loveland in the Arapahoe Roosevelt National Forest.

The fire was fully contained late Friday. However, fire crews continue to work in the burn area to mitigate hazards and make sure the fire is fully suppressed, according to the Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team B.

The Round Mountain trail is closed and will remain closed until there is no further fire activity in the burn area.

The fire was reported Friday and was rapidly brought under control. No structures were threatened.

Three Type II firefighting crews are currently at the scene.
