A small plane swerved off the runway and flipped over Friday afternoon while attempting a takeoff at Centennial Airport, but there were no serious injuries.

South Metro Fire District spokesman Andy Lyon said two men were aboard the Piper Huskie when it crashed at 1:14 p.m. Neither man complained of injuries, and neither was taken to a hospital.

The plane ended up upside down and had moderate damage.
