A man was killed this morning when he lost control of his motorcycle on the ramp from eastbound Highway 36 to southbound Interstate 25, authorities said.

The victim’s name has not yet been released pending notification of family members, said Heather Cobler, spokeswoman for the Colorado State Patrol.

The man hit a guardrail on the left side of the ramp at 6:28 a.m. and was ejected from his motorcycle, Cobler said.

The man was wearing a helmet, was not speeding and had not been drinking, she said.

The ramp was closed for several hours during the investigation, Cobler said.
